Mr. Anderson is currently accepting matters in the following practice areas:

  • Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, Powers-of-Attorney, Living Wills and Natural Death Act Declarations), Probate Administration and Proceedings, such as Emergency Guardianships, Guardianships, Conservatorships, Mental Health Commitments, and Adoptions.
  • Corporate Formation and Governance, Commercial Finance Transactions, and Real Estate Transactions.

For the past 8 years, Mr. Anderson served as President of Anderson Law Group, Inc., in Athens, Alabama, where he conducted a general civil practice, including Probate and Estate Planning, Real Estate Transactions, Commercial Transactions, Corporate Finance and Governance.

From 1996 to 2013, Mr. Anderson was a partner in the Athens law firm of Woodroof & Woodroof.  Mr. Anderson was with this firm for 17 years, practicing law primarily in the areas of Probate and Estate Planning, Real Estate Transactions, Commercial Transactions, Corporate Finance and Governance.

During law school, and after graduating, Mr. Anderson’s first job in the legal profession was in Aliceville, Alabama.  He worked in the Law Office of John A. Russell from 1993-1996, handling cases involving Insurance Defense, Probate and Estate Planning, Real Estate Transactions, Commercial Transactions, Corporate Governance and Finance. He also served as a City Prosecutor in Aliceville.

Over the years, Mr. Anderson has been active in the communities where he has practiced law.  For example, he served as a coach in his community’s youth leagues for 14 years, including baseball, soccer, basketball and football (2001-2015).

Mr. Anderson served for 14 years on the Board of Directors for the Boy and Girls Club of Athens/North Alabama (2001-2015); for 9 years on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross of Athens/Limestone County (1997-2006); for 6 years on the Board of Directors of the Athens/Limestone County Chamber of Commerce (2012-2018); for 9 years as a Rotary Club of Athens Member (2009-2018); for 10 years on the Board of Trustees at Friendship United Methodist Church (1998-2008); and 5 years on his church’s Construction Committee (2000-2005); 7 years on the Athens Dixie Youth Baseball Board of Directors (2000 – 2007); and on the North Central Alabama Substance Abuse Council.

In 1991, Mr. Anderson earned a double major in History and Political Science, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Montevallo University. He received his law degree from the University of Alabama in 1994.

Mr. Anderson is a native of Mobile, Alabama, where he graduated from McGill Toolen High School in 1987.

Upon returning to practice law in his hometown of Mobile, Alabama, Mr. Anderson spoke of his desire to serve the local community.
